Michelle I. Deveaux is a commercial lawyer of 24 years cross-jurisdictional practice in the financial services and wealth planning sectors and joins Bank of Nassau 1982 Limited as General Counsel and Head of Wealth Planning. Michelle was formerly a Partner of the one of the oldest and largest Bahamian Law Firms and has been ranked by Chambers & Partners for her work in estate planning and structuring, trust disputes, pension funds and regulatory law in The Bahamas. She is experienced in advising high net worth individuals and institutional fiduciaries on trust and estate matters and conduct of cross border litigation. Michelle was conferred a Bachelors of Laws degree (LLB) in 1999 from the University of Guyana, completed the Legal Education Certificate (LEC) in 2001 at Sir Hugh Wooding Law School, she is called to the Bar in The Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, Barbados and Guyana and holds a Masters of Laws degree (LLM) in Commercial Law from the University of the West Indies CaveHill in 2006.
